Front Office Manager - 03/01/18

Main purpose of job A Front Office manager is in charge of the Front of House Reception Team, their daily operations and needs to have a short and long-term vision of the over-all picture. He/she needs to be incessantly on their toes to ensure that top class quality service is provided by his/her team, while ensuring that it operates efficiently, effectively and respects the different targets set by the Operations Manager/General Manager.

Vereiste vaardigheden:   Responsabilities / Tasks : • Scheduling staff according to operations while considering staff requests and holiday planning. Shifts need to be covered with a shift leader, Ass FOM, FOM or another “managerial” person who can stand by (as far as possible) • The quality of the service and after service provided at the reception desk • Doing weekly 1-to-1 evaluations with assistant and shift leaders and follow-up accordingly • Ensure that staff is regularly trained (refreshed) on safety & evacuation procedures and that all Front Office staff knows what to do in case of an emergency. • Provide a safe working environment and give the necessary tools, which will allow the Front Office team to achieve excellent guest service. • No-show, cancelation, early departure and up-selling revenue are optimized and strictly controlled to avoid any loss of revenue. • The Service is adapted to the needs of our guests (VIPs, customer with disabilities, special requests, etc.). • Attending daily, weekly, HOD and other meetings and follow-up when necessary... • To deal with customer complaints quickly, confidently, effectively and appropriately. • To be responsible for the budget of your department and act accordingly Skill set we are looking for: You are flexible and initiative-oriented and thrive in a hectic working environment. • Experience in the service industry is necessary, preferably in the Reception department. • good communication skills, both written and oral in French and English, other are a plus • knowledge of OPERA • Flexibility in weekly hour roster without a 9-to-5 mentality • Good analytic knowledge in figures and price strategies • People manager • Team player • Creative and out-of-the-box mentality • Has strong experience in Front Office management or Rooms division for a minimum of 2 year. • Positive attitude and good communication skills • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service • Excellent grooming standards and professional presentation • Can handle and keep control of stressful situations • Analyses relevant information about an issue and makes conscious decisions for action • Is very customer service oriented and passionate about the hospitality industry In addition, you can identify you with our 3 basic values: 1) Passionately committed, 2) Professional hospitality and 3) The power to please.
